ציורי דיוקן – יצחק ניר, צייר וטייס

Portraiture is one of the central subjects in the work of Yitzhak Nir, painter and fighter pilot. This page brings together more than forty portraits: family members – his father, mother, son Shay and daughters – friends and painters such as Zvi Malnovitzer, Dani Livni and Ram Levy, and self-portraits from 1971 through ‘Measuring’ from 2015.

A special group depicts pilots: Colonel Yaakov Agassi, General (Ret.) Giora Rom, Brigadier General Ran Peker, Menahem Eyal, Eitan Carmy, ‘Mann’, ‘Oti’ and ‘Asher’ – most in acrylic on canvas, 100×80 cm. Alongside them are early pencil and pen drawings from the 1960s and 1970s.

Commissioned portraits: Yitzhak Nir accepts portrait commissions, including from photographs. Select ‘Inquire’ for information and purchases.
