ציורי ים ונמלים – יצחק ניר, צייר וטייס

The sea, bays and harbours recur in paintings by Yitzhak Nir, painter and fighter pilot. This page brings together his seascapes: Bourtzi Castle and Nafplio Bay in Greece, Gera and Tarti bays and the boat moored in Plomari on Lesbos, the tourist harbour in Chioggia in Italy, and Venice Beach in Los Angeles.

From Israel’s coast come the southern Cliff Beach, ‘Longbows’ over Jaffa and ‘On the way home’ at Rosh Hanikra, as well as ‘Atlantic Dawn’ in oil on canvas. Many works from abroad were painted on location in watercolour and acrylic on paper.
