ציורי נוף מחו"ל – יוון, אוסטריה, איטליה | יצחק ניר

Alongside Israeli landscapes, Yitzhak Nir, painter and fighter pilot, also painted places he reached on his flights and travels. This page brings together landscapes abroad: Reichenau, Flackl and the Schwarza River in Austria, Nafplio and Lesbos in Greece, Mount Falcone and Forca Citta in Italy.

Another group consists of gouache works from the 1980s – Amsterdam, the Okura Hotel, Cologne, New York and Toronto – painted between flights. The works from Greece and Austria were painted mainly in watercolour and acrylic on paper, and the large works from Reichenau in acrylic on wood.

Each painting links to its own page with medium, dimensions and year. For information and purchases, please get in touch.
