ציורי נוף – יצחק ניר, צייר וטייס

Yitzhak Nir, painter and fighter pilot, has been painting landscapes for decades. This page brings together all his landscape paintings featured on the website — more than fifty works, mostly acrylic and oil on canvas, wood and Masonite, alongside watercolour, gouache and pencil on paper.

Many paintings depict Israeli landscapes: the Sea of Galilee in the morning, autumn in Poria and Mount Arbel in the Galilee, the Banias River at Kibbutz Hagoshrim, Mount Dov and Mount Hermon and Ein Fit in the Golan Heights, olive trees in Yanuv, summer fields at Neve Shalom, the Yarkon River in Ramat Gan and the outskirts of Tel Aviv. Southern landscapes include the Negev, a greeting from Nachal Arugot in Ein Gedi and haze near Eilat, alongside Kibbutz Nir Etzion and the southern Cliff Beach. Some works also reflect the pilot’s perspective — aircraft over She’ar Yashuv and Jaffa, and vultures circling above the Golan.

The second group depicts landscapes abroad: Reichenau and Flackl in Austria, Nafplio and Lesbos in Greece, the mountains of Italy, and gouache sketches of Amsterdam, New York and Toronto from the 1980s. Each painting has its own page with medium, dimensions and year.
