ציורי כנרת והגליל – יצחק ניר, צייר וטייס

Northern Israel is a recurring subject in paintings by Yitzhak Nir, painter and fighter pilot. This page brings together his paintings of the Sea of Galilee, Galilee and Golan Heights: ‘Lake of Galilee’s morning’ in acrylic on canvas, autumn in Poria above the Sea of Galilee, the end of summer at Mount Arbel, the Banias River at Kibbutz Hagoshrim, Mount Dov and Mount Hermon, and vultures above Ein Fit in the Golan Heights.

Some works also include an aerial perspective – ‘Saarim’ aircraft over She’ar Yashuv – connecting Nir’s two careers, flying and painting. Most paintings were made in oil and acrylic on canvas and Masonite between 2012 and 2019.

Each painting links to its own page with medium, dimensions and year. Interested in an original painting of the Sea of Galilee or Galilee? Select ‘Inquire’ for information and purchases.
